Abstract

ARMELIA RHAIHANA BACHTIAR. Penetapan Kadar Flavonoid Total Buah Dengen (Dillenia serrata) Menggunakan Metode Spektrofotometri UV-VIS. (Dibimbing oleh Aktsar Roskiana Ahmad dan Selpida Handayani). Sari buah dengen (Dillenia serrata) merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman berkhasiat obat yang dimanfaatkan sebagai antiinflamasi, antioksidan, antimikroba, antitumor, antitukak, imunoprevensi, kanker kemoprevensi, obat sariawan, muntah darah, demam, dan obat luka dikarenakan menggandung senyawa polifenol, seperti tannin dan flavonoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginterpretasi kadar flavonoid total buah dengen (Dillenia serrata) menggunakan metode spektrofotometri UV-VIS. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu eksperimental laboratorium menggunakan metode spektrofotometri yang didasarkan pada penetapan kadar ekstrak dan standar kuarsetin. Tahapan penelitian ini dimulai dengan penyiapan sampel, uji kualitatif senyawa flavonoid, dan diakhiri dengan penetapan kadar flavonoid total sampel dan standar kuarsetin. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa ekstrak sari buah dengen positif mengandung flavonoid berdasarkan hasil identifikasi menggunakan pereaksi wilstater, sampel ini juga dinyatakan positif mengandung flavonoid berdasarkan uji KLT menggunakan pereaksi AlCl3 dan sitroborat dengan nilai Rf 0,636, dan pada hasil pengujian kuantitatif menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-VIS ekstrak sari buah dengen memiliki persentasi kadar flavonoid sebesar 19,355%. Determination of Total Flavonoid Content of Dengen Fruit (Dillenia serrata) Using the UV-VIS Spectrophotometry Method. (Supervised by Aktsar Roskiana Ahmad and Selpida Handayani). Dengen fruit (Dillenia serrata) is a type of medicinal plant hose extract is used as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antitumor, antiulcer, immunoprevention, and cancer chemoprevention. It is also medicine for thrush, vomiting blood, fever, and wounds due to the presence of polyphenol compounds, such as tannins and flavonoids. This study aimed to interpret the total flavonoid content of dengen fruit by UV-VIS spectrophotometry method. This research is a laboratory experimental using spectrophotometric methods which is based on the assay of the extract and the quarcetin standard. The stages of this research began with sample preparation, qualitative testing of flavonoid compounds, and ended with the determination of total flavonoid content of the sample and quarcetin standard. The results revealed that dengen fruit extract positively contained flavonoids based on the results of identification using wilstarter reagent, and this sample also tested positive for flavonoids based on the TLC test using AlCl3 and citroborate reagent with an Rf value of 0.636. Besides, the extracts had a percentage of flavonoid content of 19.355% on the quantitative assay using UV-VIS spectrophotometry. Keywords : Dengen fruit (Dillenia serrata), Flavonoids, and UV-VIS
