Abstract
ANISATUL FIKRIAH. Uji Kadar Fenolik dan Flavonoid Total Ektrak Etanol Biji Durian (Durio zibethinus Murr) Dengan Metode Spektrofotometer UV-Vis (Dibimbing oleh Muammar Fawwaz dan Mamat Pratama) Buah durian (Durio zibethinus Murr) merupakan salah satu tanaman dengan potensi antioksidan. Biji buah durian memiliki kandungan zat aktif alkaloid, flavonoid, triterpenoid dan fenolik yang berperan sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi secara kualitatif kandungan senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid serta menentukan kadar senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid total yang terdapat pada ekstrak etanol biji durian. Penentuan kadar fenolik dan flavonoid total ekstrak etanol biji durian dilakukan dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol biji durian posotif mengandung senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid dengan kadar rata-rata fenolik total ekstrak etanol biji durian adalah 20,4 mgGAE/g ekstrak dan kadar rata-rata flavonoid total ekstrak etanol biji durian adalah 7,70 mgQE/g ekstrak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol biji durian mengandung senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid. Kata Kunci: Biji durian (Durio zibethinus Murr.), Fenolik, Flavonoid, dan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. ABSTRACT ANISATUL FIKRIAH. Analysis of Total Phenolic and Flavonoid Content of Ethanol Extract of Durian Seeds (Durio zibethinus Murr) Using the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer Method (Supervised by Muammar Fawwaz and Mamat Pratama) Durian (Durio zibethinus Murr) is a plant which has antioxidant potential. It is rich in active substances such as alkaloids, flavonoids, triterpenoids and phenolics which act as antioxidants. This study aimed to qualitatively identify the content of phenolic and flavonoid compounds and determine their content in the ethanol extract of durian seeds. Determination of total phenolic and flavonoid content was carried out using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Based on the results, the ethanol extract from durian seeds was found to contain an average of 20.4 mgGAE/g of extract and 7.70 mgQE/ g extract of flavonoids, indicating a positive balance of phenolic compounds and flavonoids in the ethanol extract.
