Abstract
One of the efforts that can improve the service performance of road pavement is to apply a technology on asphalt material by adding additives. One of the alternative additives that can be used for asphalt concrete mixtures is cellulose fiber. Rice bran is an example of natural cellulose fiber commonly known as cellulose rice fiber, which is currently only used as raw material for the chicken food industry. To increase the usefulness of rice bran, it was tried to be used in this study, on the grounds that rice bran is one of the natural fibers and is easy to find and cheap. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of cellulose fiber on the modulus of elasticity and poison number in the Split Mastic Asphalt (SMA) mixture and to analyze the effect of cellulose fiber on the variation of the test temperature in the Split Mastic Asphalt (SMA) mixture. The analytical method used is data from Marshall test results and then processed with regression and correlation analysis. The results showed that the addition of rice bran to the SMA asphalt mixture could increase the tensile strength value from 0% variation to 0,3% variation of 12.084,44 Kpa. And there is a decrease in the tensile strength value from 0,4% variation, to 0,5% variation of 11.938,85 Kpa. The effect of the test temperature on the Indirect Tensile Strengh is that the higher the test temperature, the lower the elastic modulus. Keywords: Cellulose Fiber, Elasticity Modulus, Poison Number, Split Mastic Asphalt, Temperature Variation..
