Abstract

NUR IQFA. Uji Aktivitas Penurunan Kadar Glukosa Darah Teh Krokot (Portulaca oleracea L.) Pada Tikus (Rattus norvegicus) Diabetes Melitus (Dibimbing oleh Bayu Putra dan Sukmawati). Diabetes Mellitus (DM) muncul akibat masalah sekresi insulin dan resistensi insulin, yang memengaruhi regulasi glukosa darah. Sediaan teh celup menjadi pilihan populer di seluruh dunia karena kemampuannya dinikmati dalam berbagai kondisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi efek penurunan kadar glukosa darah dari teh Krokot (Portulaca oleracea L.) pada tikus (Rattus norvegicus) yang mengalami Diabetes Mellitus. Dua puluh empat tikus dibagi menjadi empat kelompok yang terdiri dari: kelompok normal, negatif, positif, dan kelompok teh krokot. Setelah induksi diet tinggi lemak selama 30 hari, aloksan diberikan sebanyak 125mg/kgBB secara intraperitonial. Kadar glukosa diukur pada hari ke-7 pasca-induksi. Perlakuan diberikan secara oral selama 14 hari, selanjutnya pengukuran kadar glukosa dilakukan pada hari ke-7 dan ke-14. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa teh Krokot menurunkan kadar glukosa darah pada tikus diabetes sebesar 18,74%. Dengan demikian, teh Krokot memiliki potensi sebagai agen antidiabetes. Test of Blood Glucose Lowering Activity of purslane Tea (Portulaca oleracea L.) in Rats (Rattus norvegicus) Diabetes Mellitus (Supervised by Bayu Putra and Sukmawati). Diabetes mellitus (DM) arises from problems with insulin secretion and insulin resistance, which affect blood glucose regulation. Teabag preparations are becoming a popular choice worldwide due to their ability to be enjoyed under various conditions. This study aimed to explore the potential blood glucose lowering effect of purslane tea (Portulaca oleracea L.) on rats (Rattus norvegicus) with diabetes mellitus. Twenty-four rats were divided into four groups consisting of: normal, negative, positive, and purslane tea groups. After high fat diet induction for 30 days, alloxan was administered as much as 125mg/kgBB intraperitonially. Glucose levels were measured on the 7th post-induction day. The treatments were given orally for 14 days, then glucose levels were measured on the 7th and 14th day. The results showed that purslane tea reduced blood glucose levels in diabetic rats by 18.74%.
