Abstract
Ifdhollusyafaah, Uji Efek Antiinflamasi Ekstrak Etanol Daun Pala (Myristica fragrans Houtt) Pada Tikus Jantan (Rattus novergicus) yang diinduksi karagenan (Dibimbing oleh Aulia wati dan Hendra Herman) Inflamasi adalah respon normal terhadap cedera jaringan dengan cara menginaktifkan atau menghancurkan organisme penginvasi yang disebabkan oleh trauma fisik. Daun pala mengandung senyawa flavonoid yang berkhasiat sebagai antiinflamasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan efek antiinflamasi dan dosis efektif dari esktrak etanol daun pala (Myristica fragrans Houtt) pada tikus jantan (Rattus novergicus) yang diinduksi karagenan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental yang menggunakan hewan uji tikus sebanyak 15 ekor yang dibagi dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu kelompok kontrol negatif (Na CMC 1%), kelompok kontrol positif (Natrium diklofenak), dan kelompok ekstrak etanol daun pala dengan dosis 200mg/KgBB, 400mg/KgBB, dan 600mg/KgBB. Pemberian sedian uji diberikan satu jam sebelum induksi karagenan 1% sebanyak 0,1 mL secara intraplantar. Volume udem kaki hewan uji diukur menggunakan pletismometer tiap 60 menit selama 7 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok kontrol positif tidak berbeda nyata terhadap kelompok ekstrak etanol daun pala. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun pala memiliki efek antiinflamasi dengan dosis efektif 600 mg/KgBB Kata kunci : antiinflamasi, daun pala, ekstrak etanol, Myristica fragrans Houtt, karagenan ABSTRACT Ifdhollusyafaah, Test of Anti-inflammatory Effect of Ethanol Extract of Nutmeg Leaf (Myristica fragrans Houtt) on Male Rats (Rattus novergicus) induced by carrageenan (Supervised by Aulia wati and Hendra Herman) Inflammation is a normal response to tissue injury by activating or destroying invading organisms caused by physical trauma. Nutmeg leaves contain flavonoid compounds that are efficacious as anti-inflammatory. This study aims to determine the anti-inflammatory effect and effective dose of ethanol extract of nutmeg leaves (Myristica fragrans Houtt) in male rats (Rattus novergicus) induced by carrageenan. This study is an experimental study using 15 rats which were divided into 5 treatment groups, namely the negative control group (1% Na CMC), the positive control group (Diclofenac sodium), and the nutmeg leaf ethanol extract group with doses of 200mg/KgBB, 400mg/KgBB, and 600mg/KgBB. Test preparations were given one hour before the induction of 1% carrageenan as much as 0.1 mL intraplantar. The volume of leg edema of the test animals was measured using a pletismometer every 60 minutes for 7 hours. The results showed that the positive control group was not significantly different from the nutmeg leaf ethanol extract group. From the results of the study it can be concluded that ethanol extract of nutmeg leaves has anti-inflammatory effects with an effective dose of 600 mg/KgBB.
